What kind of transmission will be on the new bike? Will Buell have a all new high tech transmission or will they still use the old sportster unit? What type of trans. does the VR1000 use? Will that one find it's way onto the new bike? Just a few more days! |

Lets all hope it's not like the Blast...You have to split the cases to repair an old design! Now if they use a six speed because the torque will be down,(because of the smaller Blast flywheels)then maybe we won't need an aftermarket shifter to shift easily |

The 53 VR-1000'S made between Dec 93 and Jun 94 were equiped with a close ratio 5 speed. The race bikes started running a close ratio 6sp in 98. The motorcyclenews.com article did not say what the new "Porsched" VR motor has for a trans but I would bet that it's a close ratio 5sp. |

I still havent heard any definitive news on the thransmission. How many gears? Still a sportster? Big funky shifter? Nice bike but I'm holding out for H2O |
