Does anyone have one that actually works?!! I bought one off ebay that came with a cd download and the cable is junk. Got online and found all the problems that people who bought from ebay had with their cables and tried the little fixes but no joy for me. Ended up cutting off the end that goes to the bike and checking for continuity and found nothing going through the yellow wire. Cut the end off of one of my usb cables, wired in the bike side, plugged it in and the laptop wouldn't recognize the usb cable. Went to Radio Shack, spent 30 bucks on another usb cable, cut it and wired the bike end on again and---doesn't recognize the cable. Son of a !!! I just want to reset my TPS, that's all, just reset my TPS.......is that too much to ask? lol. Rant over... Anyone have a cable you could lend me or sell me? I don't trust buying another ebay one. |

I think you can order the USB to serial part from Mouser electronics for around $20, then you need the connector for around another $4 from eBay. |

Thanks guys. Froggy, I ordered one from there a little while ago. I should have ordered it from American Sportbike right off the bat but it slipped my mind that they had them for sale. |

I have one of the cheap ebay cables. It worked but I have had to repair it twice because they did a lousy job of strain relief. If you have an android device of some kind, the bluetooth modem converter thing is both cheaper and more convenient. Mine stays in the bike all the time. |

Hi bigblockbruce, sorry for your bad experiences. It looks like you may have already purchased a cable, but if not, I make and sell the data link cables. I can say without any reservation that they are the highest quality cables available anywhere. The converter is genuine FTDI. Each terminal in the plug is soldered, then crimped over the solder, and then soldered again. The wires will not pull out! My cables also feature a strain-relief connector, gold plated tx/rx terminals, green/red LEDs for status, and are a generous 6' length. I sell them on https://readyxb.wordpress.com/ and also on ebay. I am user ReadyXB on the other Buell forums. Regards, -ReadyXB |

Thanks for the offer Readyxb but the American Sport Bike one works perfectly. TPS has been reset. Bruce |
