I need your help BadWeather community...my heads are off of my XB9 and rings need replaced. I have found on ebay, sets of rings that are for 3.498 bore but thickness and width are different from rings on my pistons now. I could use some solid direction in finding some stock rings and circlips. I called my local dealer here in KCMO and were not very helpful, they told me i would have to buy a piston kit! The part #s for this kit is of no use to my local motorcycle shop, so im dead in the water. Some good wisdom from the buell veterans that frequent this forum would be greatly appreciated. |

From what I gather, all XB motors regardless of year and 9 or 12 use the same rings. The kit from Harley for the rings is part number 21948-02, about $23 and you would need two of them if doing both pistons.
21948-02 is everything shown in #3 |

Also, it appears that the kit is a standard Harley part, not Buell specific, so it should be easily obtainable from any Harley dealer, not just Buell dealers. |

If you are in Blue Springs you should be able to get your hands on everything inside of 20 minutes. |
