Has anyone on here successfully data logged while riding? I have a little laptop with a SSD that I have been trying to use to data log while riding, but every time I end my ride and pull the laptop out, ECM Spy has frozen on me. I've never seen this while sitting in the garage and running a TPS reset, only when going on an actual ride. Suggestions? |

Thinking your laptop is not up to snuff for handling this. Do you have an Android phone? |

Is it possible that your laptop goes to sleep when you close the lid? Also, some laptops originally equipped with hard disks have an accelerometer that temporarily "parks" the hard drive heads if it detects sharp movements. |

Go into the power settings in Windows and disable the settings to put the computer into sleep mode after so many minutes, also disable going into sleep when the lid is closed. Also, run ECMspy as an administrator (right click the desktop icon, run as administrator) |

sorry to poke holes in the theories, but i've already disabled sleep completely. it does not sleep after time, and does not sleep when the lid is shut. I guess the one thing I havent tried is logging while at idle to see if it locks up... I already run it as admin, otherwise it doesn't create a log file. I use this laptop to log on my subaru, so I would hope it would be able to log the buell, I don't know why reading data would take a crazy computer to do |
