I had a local shop repair my shift drum and forks. Now that the bike is back together they are telling me it isnt getting fuel properly. This has taken forever due to ordering parts and sending out my transmission to be undercut. Is there anything that is a typical mistake or something that is missed that i may give them some direction on??? Its am 09 12R |

On a fuel injected bike, there isn't all that much. You have a pump with hoses and wires, you have two injectors. Sounds like they forgot a wire. perhaps the bank angle sensor or some other safety crap. |

What does "isn't getting fuel properly" mean? If the bike ran properly before it was disassembled. Then most likely there is a loose ground or mis connected wire. I would check/swap the injector couplers, there is a difference... |

So when we crank the bike, I wants to fire but stutters like it wants to catch. Somebody please help. Without the air box on it runs. |

Broken wires on the injectors? Massive leak at the throttle body/head connection? I can't think of anything else that could make it run with airbox off, and not with airbox on except a completely clogged air filter ( I assume you checked the filter). |

Here's a thought from a friends experience. After doing an engine rotation, a friend of mine was road testing his Uly. It started out fine, but eventually it stalled. Occasionally, he could get it to run for short periods of time. He called me and I was stumped. Later he texted me that he figured out the problem. The velocity stack/intake snorkle on the throttle body had loosened up (probably wasn't installed 100%) and as the stack/snorkle moved up, it cut the airflow into the throttle bodies causing the bike to stall. Based on this, I'd suggest ensuring that the the velocity stack/intake snorkle is installed fully seated with the clamp properly securing it. A shot in the dark? 1313 |
