Anyone have any tips/tricks for removing the velocity stack from the throttle body???? |

If you are talking about the clamp, My retaining ring pliers weren't big enough to reach the prongs, so I got a zip tie and put it around them. I then used my fingers to compress them and tighened the zip tie to hold them until I could get pliers on. for the actual stack, it was pretty stiff, but I eventually got it. maybe a hair dryer to warm it up a little? |

I use channel locks. |

Yeah, I used a large set of channel locks myself for the spring, but the stack itself is on there good.... Took a small hook pick and very carefully so as not to puncture the stack slide it around between the stack and throttle body housing so I know it isn't melted/glued to the housing but I just can't get it off... Was hoping somebody here might know a secret or three.... |

Zip tie method worked very well for me -- allows two hands to work the boot off. |

Give the hair dryer treatment a try. I had mine off this winter in a cold garage and it was pretty stiff. My work light has a 100W bulb (contraband these days!) and I might have positioned it above the spot for a bit. |

My work light has a 100W bulb (contraband these days!) I stock piled them in my silo, good tip. |
