So I go to the Hardly shop to get the 1000 mile service done on the CityX. ($95- Won't do that again) While it was up on the lift, I saw an ant crawl out from the airbox cover. Then another and another. There were bunches of them crawling all over the bike. After I got the service done I took the bike to my shop to get rid of the ants. Took the airbox cover off and started vacuuming the bike with the shop vac. They were all over the tail section and up near the engine. I started looking closer and saw one with an larva exit the tool pouch. There were at least 50 in it and a like number of larvae. I spent an hour vacuuming the leetle bastages off my bike. After I got home I took the Ant & Roach spray and sprayed it on the floor around the Buell. I'm guessing they were refugees from all the rain we've had. Bob |

Your complaining about a $95 first service? The average has been about $150 to a quote of I think $275 for a first service on their XB...though the sweet thing about the XB is the very simplicity in doing the services |

I bet they're quoting $275 coz they don't want to do it. God forbid they should be interrupted while hanging chrome gee-gaws on Harleys. Bob |
