I'm hoping another Lightning owner can help me out here. When I put the key in the seat latch it rotates but the latch does not disengage (no resistance to the key turn). I cannot remove the seat now. I am guessing the cable is broken or detached. Since I can't see what is under there can someone offer tips on how I could release the latch without breaking anything. Is it accessible by removing the cheese grater? If someone could look at theirs and maybe offer a suggestion to release the lock or even post a photo of the mechanism I would appreciate it.

remove the tailight assembly to gain access to seat latch. and then you can perform orthoscopic surgery .(not much room through that hole )
