The guys were very optimistic, because they qualified on standard tires, not qualifying tires. They were running 3rd and 4th in the race when Cicotto highsided. He was struggling with a rear tire that didn't want to work. The race was red-flagged for a re-start (Cicotto's bike was trashed). When they went to re-start, for some reason Barney's bike wouldn't start, so that was the end of that. That's racing...but the good news is they are really competitive on the handling tracks! Just about to make the breakthrough to a podium. Greg White didn't make the 112% cut-off, but was very close. If the two Hondas weren't setting the fast time at over a second faster than the 3rd place, he would have qualified. Pretty cool for a TV journalist, eh? |

Cicotto highsided...Cicotto's bike was trashed Ouch...Hope that doesn't mean Hal's will be implementing another price increase. On the serious side, I think these are some darned good results and they appear to be getting better all the time. Keep the effort going! |

How frickin' cool is this? Buell is poised to line up the racing planets and go shopping for podium real estate! Think back (cue Wayne's World wiggly scene) a couple years ago. Remember I told you lots of the nay-sayers would eventually look like fools. The should be primping, they are about ready to go on stage. Congratulations for not only some great racing but for making many folks gosh darned proud. I'm not the died in the wool race fanatic some are, but I'd go ballistic seeing a Buell flashing across the finish line in FIRST! Is it too early to start making "WE WON" shirts? I've got a catchy "World Class American" logo I am dying to use! Court |

I hope Mike is ok. Too bad about the crash and the "no start" but that is racing. They will be on the podium! I can't wait!!!!! Ride to the edge! I wish I was as fast as Mike and Michael! Dave |

Court...Me thinks you can proceed with the shirts. Just leave a blank for the date and location. Mammy Yokum has predicted Buell will Win!!! |

Boys- I want it as badly as everyone else, but there ain't gonna be a Buell in 1st without a rule change, and if there ever was, the AMA would change the rules to keep it from happening again. The AMA knows who butters their bread. Sherm |

The AMA knows who butters their bread. And that is what makes it all that much more important to accomplish! |
