I may be loosing my buell to repo (HD Financing). I lost my job and....You know the rest. Anyway you all have been a great source of information and fun. Someday I will get another, but I will have to pay cash since my credit would be crap. Anyway thanks. |

Good luck and keep your chin up. You'll find another job and you'll get another Buell. Live to ride another day. Stick around. |

I had a truck repo'd (sort of - I still have the truck) and I was able to be financed for the Buell. Granted, it was four years after the attempted repo... Credit card debt is what REALLY kills you as I understand it. |

Why don't you try to sell it. What typically happens is that you will get a vehicle repo'd and the company will then sell it at auction and you will still owe the difference between what you owed and what they sold it for, which is wayyy below what they could have gotten for it. I am in finance and I see this type of situation on credit reports all the time. Try to sell it even try E-bay and see what comes of it, if you sell it for just under what you owe talk to HD and see if they will work with you on releasing the title since they are going to sell it for less than you owe anyways at least this way they'll get more of their $$$ Or just put your reserve at what the payoff is and see what comes of it. Best of luck. |
