How are the tires holding up and how do they handle? Wet? Dry? |

I do. It's great. Well, it's pretty much the same as the others once you've binned the handguards, screen and the tall seat. The translucid blue bits are nice but scratch easily so be careful with them. I really like the black wheels, too. Those look killer. Dunno about the tyres. Mine's only done about 700 miles. I would assume you could use the same plastic polish they use on Windshields to keep the bodywork looking like new. |

I am just approaching the break in "500" mileage so I can't vouch for the tire wear. One thing I can say is that a good portion of my miles has been in heavy rain with standing water. My Lighting handles and brakes better in that rain than my 01 Road Glide did on dry pavement. Being tall 6'3" I like the tall seat for leg room and the view, especially in traffic. I noticed I could see the top of a Jeep Cherokee in front of me. The "air deflectors" grow on you. At first I was going to take them off but they don't intrude at all with my hands and they do give the bike a different look. I will leave them on unless I go to bar end mirrors. The air box cover was delivered with blemishes. They look like drops or smears of something. There was a big warning sticker on the bike about only using Novus 1 plastic cleaner. I figure either the prep people used the wrong cleaner or it came that way from the factory. The funny thing is that you can't see the blemishes in direct sunlight only when you get in the shade or in my case a garage. The dealer is going to check to make sure the blemishes aren't on the under side and if not order me a replacement cover. Absolutely love the bike. I have had a Harley Road Glide, Electra Glide Sport, Kaw KZ 750, KZ 650, and Honda 550 and by far this bike represents why I ride a bike, it is fun. I test road a Lighting at Daytona last year and ever since I have wanted one. J.P. Ocala, FL |

Odd,I never saw a warning sticker for Novus products on mine. It's just as well, I've got their 3 part system here in my shop so I won't worry too much about scratches on any of the plastic. Bob |

The tyres are (according to several websites) top drawer stuff. I was having a little traction problems in corners but it seems to have been a bit of mold release that was still on them. They also are (according to several websites) a bit cheaper than what I'm used to paying for Dunlops with similar specs. Bob |
