I recently ordered a Corbin seat for my XB9SX from a local dealer. First he tells me it will be 6 weeks because "Corbin has bad customer service blah.. blah.." The seat shows up inside of a week. Hooray. Seat doesn't fit because the dealer just gave them a serial number but no measurements. As such, the seat is HUGE. Dealer tries to push the leg work off on me for the return so I do the leg work. Corbin rep seems nice and really eager to get the seat fixed. So much for "Corbin has bad customer service blah.. blah.." So I tell the dealer to ship the seat back and I give him an RMA number from Corbin. He grumbles something and goes back to what he was doing. Basically, Corbin is going to remodel the seat to fit me. The seat was for a much taller, heavier person. (I'm 5'3" tall) Later at work it dawns on me that someone at Corbin should have asked the dealer for some measurements which the dealer didn't have. So I call Corbin and ask them who took the order and what measurements were given to him. 3 minutes later there's another voice on the phone asking for my measurements. Instead of making the old seat work, they're going to make me a whole new one. All hail Corbin. I should see it in a few weeks. Bob |

Yeah,I ordered my seat directly from Corbin over the phone. They have awesome customer service. They asked me all of my measurements. I told them that I have the low Lightning and didn't want to lose the lowered ride by getting a new seat. They said no problem. I also got my seat within a week and I live in NY (Corbin is in CA). It fits really tight on the Buell though. I had to fight it for a while to get the latch to latch. Here's a picture.

Anyone with experience with Corbin's for the S2? The Corbin's I have seen look lower then the stock seat. |

Doughnut, I've gotten Corbin seat replacements for all my cycles. I really enjoyed it on my 1995 S2. It put me lower and further back in the saddle than the original setup. That is pretty much what all their seats try to do (cup your butt). I did have racing handle bars on the bike at first and then had to convert back to stock bars because I had to lean too far over the tank.
