Every 6 to 8 years I have been fortunate enough to be able to get a new bike. Well, I am still fortunate, but after looking, evaluating, and comparing everything out there to my '08 XB12Ss Lightening I just can not find anything that I like better or would do as good a job as what I still have. It is just that I may be stuck with the perfect all around bike available, - at least for me. So I tried, but I just can't get rid of her. |

I'm experiencing the same dilemma. I have an '08 XB12S Lightning. I've had minor issues with it recently and working through them, but the damn bike is so much fun. I also have an '09 XB12XT Uly and love it for completely different reasons. It's a great two up bike and long distance rider. I want the Yamaha FZ-09 pretty bad. What's funny is that everything I like about the FZ-09 the Lightning already has. So it's a hard sell. Plus they are hard as hell to get a hold of. Good luck. If I can hold out for another couple of months I'll just get the FZ-09 without selling either kickass Buell. |

While I have no plans on getting rid of my 03 XB9S, I am a fan of the new FZ9. I don't like the jap bikes too much, but years ago I had a Yamaha FZ6 that I thought was a great road trip bike. |
