I washed the bike thursday night. Started it up to dry the lava wrap on the headpipes and shut it off. I then pushed it off the centerstand and dropped it on the wash bucket on it's right side. My bad. The propeller hat is on..... It landed on the wash bucket in the fuse block area. Never hit the concrete. Bucket supported it. Mirror, indicators are fine. Crack in the fairing is all. Stood it up and thought it would start...didn't. Hummmm..? Symptoms..... No needle sweep at key on, only at key off. No fuel pump startup/whine.... No headlights.... No LCD mileage, trip, ODO etc. field.... No instrument lights... All fuses look OK.... Engine cranks... Indicators work.... Brake light works.... Horn works... Any ideas? I have the fairing, mirrors and indicators off and all the wires and headlights dangling. No hot or pinched wires can be found. Bank angle sensor issue or diode 'er some'thin else maybe? I know....don't drop it dummy!?!? As always...thanks. |

Can only offer generic help. Quality time with the wiring diagram to find a common power source (or ground)for the items not working and start there. Come to think of it, since it fell onto the fuse block, a careful check of the relays and where/what they plug into? Hope this helps, Dave |

someone else on here mentioned that they had a wire pull free from the back of the fuse. They said it looked good from the front but couldnt see that a wire was loose until turned over... good luck |
