donnie thanks for the pics. i dont think the 90 degree angle boots will work on my bike, will take a closer look though. it looked like the coil towers are a little different on the XB from everything else, so i dont know that a generic accel, or other fancy hot rod wire set will work right. they are such a bloody biotch to install that i would really like to get the good stuff packed in there and not have to think about it for a year or so.my local HD shop is still lookin, but no luck yet. thanks, and if you do find a buell part number that'd be tits (can i say that here?) later |

I remember HAcienda HD/Buell having the Pro Series but were only listed for an XB9 on the package($85)...wonder if Buell either pulled the pro series wires, OR if they are now mearly the stock wires...Did any one think of that? You could tell by looking at the package they were for an XB and not a Tuber. |

I don't think they are the same as stock -- I just bought a stock set and they were only around $12. Still can't get anybody (Donnie?) to post a URL for |

Has anybody put any of those flashing wires on an XB yet? |

There NOT the same as stock the boots are different and the wires are a little fatter i think. The flashing plug wires are NOT recommended for fuel injected bikes. |

Why not? What do those flashers do to it? |

I think the reason the flashing, or lightning wires are not intended for FI bikes is that they lack a wire core. It's the arc that causes the flash that conducts current. Not good for the intense spark a FI bike needs. |

After my wires broke I just wrapped some coat hanger wire with electrical tape and used that. |

I assumed that they flash from the voltage leak associated with any high voltage lines. Just like a fluorescent light by a high voltage line glowing. Wouldn't solid core wires give off RF signals anyway? |
