Finally time to get a new rear tire and the belt is looking a little worn so I'm going to do an overhaul on everything back there when I pull the wheel for the tire. See if this list makes sense so I can get things ordered. What I have: front sprocket rear sprocket belt guards tension assembly - bearings seem fine newer style rear brake master cylinder assembly What I know I need: rear wheel bearings bearing spacer new style belt bolts and washers for the rear sprocket big @$$ socket fresh brake fluid maybe rear master cylinder rebuild kit What am I forgetting? Also I spent a large amount of time pulling the accumulated rubber off of the rear sprocket, while doing this I started looking at the bolt holes... These holes had been filled with epoxy because it appears this sprocket had been ridden too long with the bolts a little loose and the holes are slightly worn. After scraping out the old epoxy I'm wondering if I got ripped off when I bought this sprocket and I should junk it, or if I should go ahead and bolt it up and use it. My other thought would be to machine a taper on the bolt side of the holes and find some cone shaped washers to wedge in there to keep it centered. Really kind of concerned about this sprocket so I'd like ideas or if anyone has a good used 04+ style rear that they no longer want, I might want to buy it. |

I would look for a sprocket in better shape. I will also check mine now! |

I looked at a used one on eBay, it also had the white epoxy stuff in the bolt holes... They also wanted nearly new price so I past it by. |

That's what I thought at first, but after scraping a bunch of it out, I could see makes in the pulley that were left by the bolt threads and the surface that contacts the wheel had a lot of gauling like it was rubbing back and forth. The bolts seem very loose in the pulley too, and since I've never changed one of these I have no idea it any of this is normal. Half thinking about just buying the smaller stock belt and running it. |

I don't remember doing anything with the rear master cylinder when I did my 04+ conversion years ago... |

Not required but recommended to go with the newer master cylinder, the outlet fitting sits up much higher giving better clearance to the belt. |

Hmm. Ill have to look at that. I do have the Free Spirits tensioner on it. Not sure if that makes a difference. |
