First buell and love it. Just to let people know I have made some of the upgrade kickstand pins out of stainless and also some custom shift linkages out of stainless if anyone is interested. Looking forward to talking to everyone. thanks. |

That looks just like my bike. Except my bike has not had a bath in a year. LOL! I like the black frame. I would put some frame pucks on it. |

I thought about frame pucks, I just love the clean look. Still thinking about them though, I know they will save my frame if something happens. |

If you are worried about looks, You can paint the pucks before you stick them on the frame to blend them in or jazz it up |

I made a new thread with pics of my linkages. I have seen pucks for $50, is that typical price? (Message edited by fishxb12 on May 27, 2013) |

Two of the BEST mods - Frame Pucks. It'll save you pain in that parking lot tip-over. Also, unscrew and throw away the feelers on the bottom of the foot pegs! One of the best performance mods you can make! |

Honestly, I didn't know the feelers unscrewed, lol. I thought they were cast with the peg. Will for sure take those off if it's that easy. Thanks slaughter! |

Frame pucks will cost $50 just about every where you look? It will save you future anguish. I have seen people with a dented fame and hindsight being what it is they all said they wish they had invested in frame pucks. Until it happens to you. Also a dented frame will mean less fuel in the tank. So spend the $50 bucks on pucks? |

Puck it pronto. Also note (per your pic) that you've already got a set of axle sliders - the next thing on the list... Know that they are there to keep the swingarm and forks from getting mangled. (Message edited by Midknyte on May 28, 2013) |

I actually made the axle sliders myself out of stainless. I turned the upgrade kickstand pin and shift linkage out of stainless also. I get bored at work sometimes, lol. I made a separate link with pics of my linkages and kickstand pins. Thanks for all the info guys, will be getting pucks soon. Nillaice, I will let you know about the feelers. |
