After installation and a TPS reset you need to head to your favorite set of twisties and the feeling of having a new bike. |

Petcarv, I warn against resetting the TPS yourself with ECMSpy. Not sure how you were intending on the TPS reset. http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Firebo lt-XB12-XB9/Troubleshooting/ECMspy-corrupted-New-R ace-Ecm- |

I used ecmspy to set my tps on my ebr ecm worked fine no problems, you just need to know where to set it and it is not stock setting. |

After you set the tps go for a ride and NO hard acceleration us 30% throttle so the ecm can learn and 02 sensor ,ride like that till you do around 50 mile, then have fun! |

Glad it worked fine for you Rchuff. Just reiterating EBR's warning and my own empirical data. |

There's something that doesn't make sense to me about the EBR ECM not being compatible with ECMSpy. OK, I can full accept that it may not be compatible, and that ECMSpy could write data to the wrong addressees, but the HD dealer tool would write the data to the same addresses as ECMSpy. Surely HD hasn't spent money developing a tool to work with an aftermarket ECM. Something just doesn't make complete sense, and I'm pretty sure there's more to the story. So does TunerPro play well with the EBR ECM? Frankly, these sort of issues make me happy that I never upgraded from the stock ECM. EBR would do themselves a great service to provide some sort of tool that would allow the home mechanic to safely do the basic install and maintenance of the EBR ECM.

The way Danny Bilnosky explained it to me was that the firmware on the EBR Ecms is completely different than prior Buell ECMS and when you connect the EBR Ecm to ECMSpy, for some reason, it changes a couple cells in the firmware and corrupts the ECM. I'm no tuner, computer wizzard, etc, but Danny and I went through three different ECMS before we realized that it was ECMSpy corrupting them. I did nothing in ECMSpy but do a tps reset, which is extremely simple. |
