Hey been reading for awhile and finally decided to join up. I have an 03 xb9r that i picked up "used" (had 12 miles on it, was a rental) about a month ago. So far its been a blast. I wish i could say that same about dealing with the one problem that ive had so far. When i went to do the first oil change the filter would not come off. took it to the local harley where i bought it, they said too bad 2 weeks i can look at it, sounds like you put filter on too tight. After they realized i just got it from them it was still sorry for 2 weeks, so i went down the street and had another indian dealership try to take it off. well whoever put the bike together had chunks of metal missing from the part that the oil filter screws onto. After they finaly got it off they were able to clean up the threads enough for it to work charged me $65 and i was on my way. called harley said i want $65 since i bought it from you, "too bad used bike no warranty" i bought the extended warranty and even they didnt want to cover it (after $50 copay all i wanted was $15 back) other than that great bike. anybody else in tucson??? one more thing i also belong to a stunt group and ride a cbr 929 come visit the site at mobextreme.com if you are into that kinda stuff. |

Yea, welcome aboard. Come on over to Arizona Buellers. There's some great stuff coming. American Sport Bike BBQ. Octoberfast ride up in the Sequoias? And last but certainly not least. A battletraxx event here in Yuma! I've been waiting to attend one! Don't miss it! The guys in central Az ride every or at least every other weekend. Love to have ya. There's a gent named Brian (Tucson XB9S) you could probably ride with too now that I think of it. |

Ben, thought we lost you to the dark side...hadn't seen a post from you in a while! Any how, Brian, welcome to our sickness. Too bad I didn't log on yesterday and see your post. I rode this morning with Al (Belookin) and Kobie (Warp2) and a couple of other guys down to Sonoita and Patagonia for breakfast. We try to run at least one day out of the weekend. Be sure and check the storm fronts for AZ updates! |

What is it that makes you prefer riding the Ninja over the Buell? Just curious. |

dont get me wrong i love my buell. But the exposed frame make me worry about doing wheelies "if i choose, on a closed course " and the ninja is much quicker. The ninja also seems to be an inch or so shorter and its less top heavy. |
