I was on the Blast side of the forum before. I just bought a 07 XB with some minor sorting issues. I got a good deal. She has about 11000 miles. She needs some love but i paid around 3000.

She all ready has D&D cans which are plenty loud for me. I just went through the whole bike. Changed oil and primary fluid and checked the primary adjustment. I put a new front tire. Also new front brake pads. I also adjusted the clutch and all the controls. I gaped the plugs and adjusted the idle. The suspension is set to factory specs for my weight. The head lamps needed adjusted as well. The only thing left is the fuel light which is always on. |

No way it is a very fun bike. It is almost the most fun one can have on two wheels. Like Buell's XR's are picky about there owners. |

I love my XR. It is a great handling HD. There are lots of faster bikes. There are a lot of lighter bikes. There are not many bikes as fun as a XR. It will never be a track bike. It is a good all around street bike. There are bikes that are better then it in almost every way but it plucks my heart strings. It has character and soul like few bikes do. I traded a Aprila for it and I do not regret it for one minute. |

That was a good trade the Aprila for the XR1200. At the time when I bought my XB12S Harley was not selling the XR1200 in the states and I got a last minute deal on my Buell I could not refuse. I have always liked the way the XR1200 looks. HD did a good job with that bike. I think the XR1200 has some of the same lines as the Buell M2. The XR1200 does strike a cord with me as well. But since I have the XB12S I just don't see the don't see adding the XR1200. I have a XR650L but my wifes best friend wants me to get the Road King for cruising. If money weren't a issue I would buy a XR1200. I had a chance to buy a orange 2009 XR1200 this spring but my heat pump decided it was time to take a dump. |
