Hi last week i wiped out going around 30 mph on my buell lightning and now its stuck in third gear. My dad tried to fix it but its not shifting into any gear it will move but not shift. Does anyone know what could be wrong? thanks

Likely the small spring (see in photo) on the shift mechanism has failed.
