I've got an XB12Ss in a crate on its way to me. The fuel plug has been removed and I understand that it can't be reused. I do not yet have a parts manual. Can anyone provide me with a part number? Thanks! |

Interesting. I can see replacing the 0 ring, but the whole plug? Hmmm ... Anyway, from my '08 XB parts manual p/n P1203.3A8 The p/n for the drain plug in the fuel pump assy mounting plate, just below the fuel banjo fitting. Hope this helps, Dave |

I think that might be recommended by the person who placed warnings about death and injury in a zillion places in the manual. I did buy a spare plug with O-ring but could see obvious reason to replace the original. I have had this plug out of both my X and XT at least twice and haven't replaced either yet. |

That's good to know, thank you. Think I'll order one as you did, and keep it as a spare in case the original does something I don't like. Thanks for the P/N David! Bill: It is beautiful. I'll put up some pictures as soon as I get it. It's translucent red (cherry bomb?) with the same translucent color on the wheels. Her name is Scarlett, and I will be her second lover |

Oh CRAP! I guess my bike might blow up because I reused that plug. Good thing I never read about the warning, if I had I might not be writing this now due the the fiery explosion. Obviously I see nothing wrong with a reuse as long as everything is still in good shape. |
