I was in Charlotte, NC, over Thanksgiving week, and was able to drop off my stock exhaust to Kevin for his modifications. I picked it up and got to talk with him for a bit, too. Honestly, I love how this looks, sounds, and responds - so my next Buell will also have a Drummer on it! (I'm already looking for another one - I'm thinking a Lightning for a spare bike to let friends use.)
Anyways - here's the video:
A new K&N filter to replace the stock one:
Also installed the quick release seat kit:
And mounted the amber heel guards ($1 on eBay, still in the package!)
I picked up a set of passenger pegs (I didn't want to, but a certain girl can be persuasive) and found out that the subframe is probably bent a little bit when the bike crashed. The right passenger peg bracket hit hard, and I think it bent the mounts a little. There should be more clearance than this:
I'll be taking the passenger bracket off again, until I can find the time to bend the passenger peg mounts back into place.
The weather was cold, but the roads were clean, so I took it out for a 30 mile spin yesterday. 35 degrees is VERY cold, but it was fun. I have heated grips that I need to install still, and a few other goodies.
Also - does anyone have a stock left grip that they would like to trade? I have a traction grip on the left side and stock on the right, and I really don't care for the traction one. It does have the end cut out, but is in good condition otherwise.
