Rode my XB9S for over 2 hours Saturday. The seat wasn't too bad in the cushion area. But apparently, Mr. Buell likes you to sit in one position on the bike. Does the Corbin help this out any? I think being able to scoot back 1 inch would even help. |

The Corbin doesn't give you the ability to move around more. If anything, it's less, because the seat cup is better defined. HOWEVER, it is still more comfortable for any duration, since it doesn't produce seat pan pressure points. I think the XB-S corbin is a winner, much better than the stock or Buell streetfighter seat. the new city x seat will let you move around all over the place |

I like how you could move around alot with the CityX seat. The only problem I can see is that you would always be fighting that annoying slant forward. When I get tired in the stock seat, I just sit back on the passenger section for awhile to get a rest. |

Try the "Streetfighter" seat by Buell, it's a bit narrower and fits the "bucket" area a bit better. Also from a poll of the recent riding passengers, it's more comfortable back there too! LazyRacer |

I've had good luck with Sargentcycle.com, an alternative to Corbin. They modded my old Duc 900SS seat and I bought a two pce World seat for my VFR800. Both very nice without the defined cup of the Corbin and not as hard. But hey, what my dad always said when he was buying and selling cars a lot, there's an for every seat. |

Question... Does modifying the stock seat with gel while still retaining the contour of the seat remove the seat pan pressure points? I like the shape of the stock X1 saddle for moving around during aggressive riding but feel like I am getting bone to frame contact. I have the Pegasus two-up saddle but find it positions me too high and forward plus it locks me into a fixed position like a Corbin. Is great for riding with a passenger but not my favorite in the twisties. The reason I ask is we have a local saddle maker here in Milwaukee that does a fantastic year round business and the gel pad is one of his best sellers and only costs around $100 to do a Buell. |

I'm going to have a stock 9S seat for sale as soon as my "Streetfighter" shows up from Dave - just in case anyone wants to use the pan for a custom made seat. |

WOW! I never paid attention to the CityX seat profile. Looks just like a dirt bike seat. Which I personally find comfortable. Someone wouldn't happen to know the part # and cost while I try and find one around here in Denver to test out? |

Jersey, I'm wanting to know how you like the Streetfighter seat. Been thinking about getting one myself. Raraf, good thinking on wanting to try one out first. My thinking is that it's the same seat with more cushion. Real "squishy" like. So after a long ride it may just collapse and be as hard as anything else. |

Our asses don't hurt when we have a Corbin seat. Mine's still a stock seat. Just showing there's more than one way to skin a cat. |

Glitch I love my streetfighter from Buell seat. Much better then the stock seat. I am however looking at taking some motocross seat foam and recovering my stock seat CityX style... |

If you have a CityX, you'd better be pretty tall. There is no indented seating area like on the XB9S or the XB9SL. It's dirtbike tall and board straight. I had to buy a standard seat just so I could ride the bastage home. Bob |

Damn I would have traded ya! I am not concerned about cushioning just not wild about not being able to scoot around. |
