I have this problem that is driving me nuts! I have a stutter or miss at a constant throttle speed. Doesn't do it at idle or at when on the gas going through the gears, only when I'm cruising at a constant speed. Changed the spark plugs, wires, and coil. seems to only be when it is at operating temp. |

If it is happening at low rpm/light throttle, but runs great when you get on it, it is from the stock ecm mapping that had to make the EPA standards. You have two choices. Learn to ride a gear lower so the engine is running in a smoother zone, or have it remapped. This is assuming of course that there are no mechanical or other electrical issues. I bought a race ECM for mine (from EBR). It sure helped the jerky power delivery down low, and added a lot of pep up top. But it still has the same symptom yours does when cruising at small throttle openings and light loads. |
