March '03 July '04 of course I didn't have the bike from nov03-april04 (thanks FMP) 2 belts and about 5500miles on it now. first track day this wed. if everything goes well, I'll be at sportbike west in a few weeks. still lots to do but.. 'stop working on it, start riding it' has been my motto this summer |

Misato that has to be one of the sharpest if not the sharpest Lightning out there. You're tempting me to paint and polish mine. Quick question though. How is the pipe holding up? Also have you had any problems not having the chin fairing guarding everything? |

Misato great job!!!Reminds me though I once did a complete custom job to my last BUELL and when I was all done with I loved. The one thing Misato has the balls to do and I didn't is to do track day with it.Hats off to you my friend.Be careful I don't want to hear you cry all the way here in Wisconsin. |

Get some frame pucks for it Misato... You could paint them the same color as the airbox cover if you want, or you could just get a couple sets for when you do track days... |

Be careful I don't want to hear you cry all the way here in Wisconsin. the scream heard around the world.. sacrifice the body.. funny. I probably would try and throw myself under it.. I'm gonna take it easy, first time and all. |

The new Krylon Fusion I beleive is available in a decent "chrome" version that could be tested on a set of frame pucks before you apply them for shine and such... |

Hey Wycked, Can I put the R nose on my 12S but leave the bars the way they are? I like the S Bars for long hauls, but may wanna put the R nose on my bike... Jack |

The S bars are too tall, you'll hit the fairing. |

Joojoo...You can buy a set of dirt bike bars for under 30 bucks and do the conversion in about 1 hour. It's quite easy. I just did it two days ago to my S. I used the Azonic CR Low bars for $30.99

Black, After I put the Dirk Bike bars on will the R nose fit? Maybe the CityX bars will work with the R nose...hmmm Jack |

It should. Wickedflesh's pic look like low rise bars if I am not mistakin'? Wicked? I don't know the measurements of the CityX bars off hand but I don't think it is much different than the S Stock bars. |

That is the firebolt triple in that last pic. The middle pic is the crossroads bars. The stock bar and the CityX bar have an interference with the top of the fairing. You could use motoX bars that had a lower rise then stock, but you have other issues with the top triple...like the fact the ignition looks hideous out there all alone. I will see if I can find and edit for size what the ignition looks like when you use the S triple. |
