I searched, honest I did. Do the XB9 and XB12 have the same transmission gears and internals. My 12 blew up the tranny and all I can find are 9 transmission parts.

Thanks.

I know the ratios are the same. I can't imagine that anything is different, other than the primary drive of course. I think some changes were made for better shifting in '06 though, and lighter clutch springs.

Seems to be a common problem these days. My nine dropped a gear a week ago, so i just dropped a used motor in this past weekend. I think the gearbox ratios are the same, but I am pretty sure the primary drive ratios are different.

Transmissions are the same from 2003 to 2005 (straight cut gear set) and again from 2006 to 2010(helical cut gear set).

I have used sets of both transmissions. The straight cut 2003-2005 set is lacking the 1st gear set and the shift forks and drum are a bit worn. The helical cut trans parts including forks and drum are in good shape.

Thanks for the replies. I thought the ratios were the same but wasn't sure. Mine is an 06. Ericz, I'd be interested in taking that set of 06 gears off your hands. Let me know if you want to sell them. Thanks.

I'd be happy to sell them. How does $150+shipping sound? Paypal works best for me.

That should be fine. How many miles are on them?

They have about 11k on them. The gear teeth and dogs look good and the shift forks have minimal wear. They came out of a motor that shifted very nicely.
