hey gang, when I turn my key on, the gauges cycle, then the headlight turns on. 2 second delay or so. I haven't noticed this before. Normal? |

Do you have a regular / stock headlight bulb? Or do you have an HID / Xenon setup? |

regular bulbs for me. no way to really check the relay is there? is it one of those that i could just swap around? |

Some of the relays are the same and you can swap them around... I believe the headlight relay was one of them, but I'm going from memory from the last time I had it apart. |

Check the connector going from the bike wiring harness to the headlights. Mine was getting loose, and would do the same thing. It finally got bad enough to diagnose, and I discovered a partially melted connector from the heat generated by arcing. I "spread" all the springs back out, and it's been fine since then. |

ahhh yes.... i forgot about that one as i've been focused on my current idle problem. mine actually does have a short in it for the high beam. I always have to give it a wiggle. Maybe it's spread to the low beam now.... |
