The lower threads detail the problem, I had a horrible flat spot at 4000 RPM.. Still, I loved the bike. I read the suggestions, and was beginning to think the only answer was a New EBR Ecm.. Kevin Drummer of Drummer Exhausts Chimed in and left his number, saying to call him. I did, and to make a long story short, I rode the bike the 1.5 hours up to him yesterday afternoon for a tuning session. The short of it is this.. in the span of an hour, I went from enjoying this bike to just not wanting to get off of it. He described to me each change he made, how it affected the bike, and then waited on me to take a spin and note the changes. He eventually uploaded his personal bikes map. The Flat spot is gone, the low idol fixed, the stutter I had at a way low rpm, cured. Its a completely different bike. In fact, one the way home from Kevins, I caught myself cruising down the interstate actually Laughing.. Simply Awesome. The great part of this, being, that I wasnt the one to buy Kevins Drummer Exhaust, the previous owner did.. He didnt owe me a thing. He is simply an enthusiast about these bikes. Afterwards he took the time to show me how he makes his exhaust, and described in detail the process that he uses to get the results he does. The level of detail he puts into these pipes is outstanding, and workmanship is seocnd to none. I have had many, many motorcycles over the last 35 years, and ordered many, many exhausts for those bikes, not one came with the personal number to the guy who created and built it, with an invitation to help tune the bike. SImply outstanding customer service, and an outsanding product, that make a good bike, well , outstanding. |

Glad you got your bike sorted out. They are so much better when they work right! I've only purchased small stuff from Kevin, but I have been impressed with both the quality of merchandise and the customer service. I've heard enough good things that I wouldn't hesitate buying bigger stuff from him. I understand he's a very busy guy to boot. Kevin certainly seems to earn those good stories about him. |

Agreed. Top notch guy, top notch products, top notch service. I wrote this up based on my experience a while back:
quote:I just wanted to publicly thank and recognize Kevin Drum of Drummer (KDFab). I have a Drummer SS pipe on my Uly- what a fantastic piece of equipment! Sounds great, performs great, and IMO is the best looking pipe on the market. Well I now have another "best" category to list Drummer in- best customer service! I had a minor issue with my pipe, and he said to send it in to him. My pipe came back looking brand new and re-packed.....and he refused to allow me to pay him for any of it. I'm floored by his level of service. His response to me? "Thanks for letting me fix it the right way". Wow. If you're on the fence, BUY ONE! No regrets. www.kdfab.com The best way I can think of to thank him is to send him more business, which I will gladly do.
