I'm (still) working on sorting out parts for my 05 XB9SX to reduce the clutch effort, and am planning to order a new spring fairly soon. I know the 05 XB9 & XB12 have overly stiff clutch springs, and the 06 XB12 spring is softer than the 05 XB12. Is the 06+ XB9 spring the same as the 06+ XB12 spring? I'd like to get the part number for the weakest spring that will hold an 05 XB9 motor with a race ECU & Buell Race Exhaust. |

Yes, the 06+ XB9 and XB12 clutch springs are the same. |

If no one has mentioned it to you yet, check out replacing your stock ball and ramp clutch actuator with one from "Mueller". It'll be at least 20% lighter pull. Mine works great for me, installs in 10 minutes |

I installed an '06+ spring and a clutch lite ball and ramp. The clutch is now a two finger affair. Got the spring and gasket from American Sportbike. |
