Why are the steering bearings on Buells ball bearing and not tapered rollers? Or was I told wrong and they are tapered? Just seems like a poor bearing choice for a frond end and is likely why I hear about the clicking and bad bearings so often, as once they go a little, you can't tighten them down anymore to snug things up. Just curious if there is a cost or performance reason for the bearings they use. My front ends been clicking for awhile, getting tapered rollers put in this weekend. |

Good question. Go to the source; ask EBR. or Maybe Al at American Sport Bike. Doing a quick google on angular vs taper bearings left me with more questions. http://medias.ina.com/medias/en!hp.tg.cat/tg_hr*ST4_1652155275 |

Its just one of the many questions I have, like why the service manual recommends dropping the motor to change spark plugs when I did it in 15 minutes via some access holes. |
