XXX posted:"Whats the problem with asking how they are made for products overall construction. In the T-Rex sliders ad, they give a very good description of the the buyer will receive. The buyer should know exactly what they are getting for the money. " 'Cause it's called "thread crapping" for a reason--its fooking rude, uncalled for, and asinine. If you have legitimate questions, post them. If you're pushing another product or disparaging this one based on hearsay, suppositions, or fooking WAG's, take it to PM's. WTF?} |

+1 to that. X- It is one thing to ask a legit question, but you are just crapping all over the thread. The respectable thing to do is PM 50dro with your concerns. (Message edited by froggy on May 16, 2012) |

" 50Dro, what pictures do you need? I have an '09..." I'm good from a design prospective but I'll need some pics of the product on actual 08+ bikes once you guys get them. (not sure if you ordered a set or not?) Thanks! |

A few pics but the lighting was poor in the garage as it was dark out but you'll get the idea. I'll definitely get better pics soon! I'm very happy with them! I hope you will be as well!
This is the best pic I can get on the 08+ oil pump side for now until someone shares theres:

I like the looks of these but I'm not sure if I like the timer cover slider. Maybe a picture of it at some different angles are needed. |

I was looking to purchase a set of the 07 case sliders, possibly even today. Just wondering if you provided a military discount. |

I'll see if I can post up some more pics soon but right now I'm swamped getting these shipments out (not a bad problem to have I suppose ) We don't have a specific military discount per se but if you can email me some proof (military I.D. etc) to "orders at 5-0dro.com" we'd be glad to give you a $10 discount code. Thank you for your service! |

OK!!! All packages have been packed and labeled! They're just waiting for the postal carrier at this point. The pre-order discount in now over. Thank you to all of you that put your trust (and funds) in us to make this happen! We appreciate that more than you could imagine! More sets are stocked so if you're still interested, we can take care of you! 5-0dro www.5-0dro.com |

That left side slider looks like the perfect place to clamp a camera, might have to order one of these. One thing I'm concerned about though... Looking at the right side timing cover slider... Is that assembly really strong enough to handle a crash? I'm concerned about breaking parts in the timing/cam cover from the forces because the metal is not exactly made to do more than hold the position sensor in place (at least on my 03). |

The best I can say is that if it was strong enough to handle a crash by itself then this product wouldn't be needed. The softer (than aluminum) slider works to absorb that impact. As I've stated before, there isn't a product out there that will be a forcefield for your bike but we feel that our sliders will give your bike a better chance at surviving in many cases. Either way, I think it will fair better than the camera that you plan to put on it!! That would be an interesting video to watch! Let us know if we can help! Thanks! |

Well I got my package in the mail and I couldn't wait to open it and install my sliders. Everything was packed very well. I laid everything out to check for any missing parts and to organize all the bolts. The kit came with some very well written and detailed instructions. Got to break out the inch pound torque wrench. I started on the right (Oil Pump) side first. I made sure to torque all the bolts down the proper amount. More of the right side. Did the left side next. Just loosen all the bolts and remove them. I put the spacers on first and then just lined the bolts up with the holes. Got the bolts all tightened down and torqued to spec. Over all it was a real easy job. Or for me a 1 cigar job. Took maybe 45 minutes to do all of it. I hope I never have to find out if these sliders work or not. Overall I am very happy with them and have no regrets. |
