the author. http://www.mt-01.com/Yamaha/GetContestPage_EN.act?source=banner Guys and Gals, The link above represents a 'real' company tuned to what people want. Now do not get me wrong, I have never been so pleased with my 2002 X1W and XB9's, but the 2005 Lineup that Buell Has created are jokes and will make us the laughing stock of Motorcycles. PERIOD. Wait until the already Motorcycle Mags, that did never embrace the XB's get a hold of the PURE CRAP that Erik Buell has put out. WHAT A JOKE OF A LINE UP! 2005 XB's for THE should have been the new slogan. The Yamaha MT-01 http://www.mt-01.com/Yamaha/GetContestPage_EN.act?source=banner may not be the XB Killer, but it is 1700cc's of pure TORQUE that I will assure you will kill the H-D VROD. And with a half-decent rider on the Yamaha MT-01, they would have no problem in taking any Buell Made! Sorry folks! BUT BUELL MESSED UP!!!! Got buy all the XB9's of 2003/2004 you can, because the 2005's are all jokes!!!! AND GUYS, this YAM was built BECAUSE of us AMERICANS, so drop the attitudes and stop holding on to the Erik Buell belief Erik will build a killer bike to compete, because Erik is not just another ENGINEER IN A BOX that CONFORMS to ACCOUNTANTS / BEANCOUNTERS, and he CAN NOT COMPETE in the Real World of Competition Motorcycles with the jokes of crap that Buell Produced for 2005! Think I am wrong, let's hear it. Otherwise, keep your older Buells because they are nice, not great.. just damn nice bikes, but BY GOD ERIK BUELL, GROW SOME BALLS AND COMPETE!!!!! That used to be in your blood, DO NOT LET THE BEANCOUNTERS AT H-D Tell you what to do.. .OH, I know.. you are owned by H-D. WHO GIVES A 5H1T! WOW! THIS IS HOW I FEEL!!!! and I want to hear others... Pissed at me or otherwise, what do you think?????? |

Borderline personality disorder, gets perverse pleasure from annoying other people. Maybe a relative of 420. Do not dignify this post with a response. Ignore him and he might go away and harass some one else. |

Wow, 420 hasn't ever riled me. Maybe I'm immune. And the author was right, "The MT-01...may not be the XB Killer..." We'll see, but either way it's exciting to have competition! |

My only gripe with any of this... is that when I went to the link above, it all loaded with no problems. Everytime I go to the Buell site and there is new info and updated, my (old) computer and the one at work with too much paranoid anti virus crap on it... there is something that has to be upgraded to work or something just won't display! I never have, though I have tried on the four computers I use, seen the entire presentation and layers of the updated Buell sight with the 2005 stuff. HOW CAN I BUY WHAT I CAN"T ACCESS??? The flash is nice... but if it can't be seen without upgrades or down loads... it is a total loss. (formerly dasxb9s) |

I don't like Buells...blah blah, blah. Why doesn't Buell make a bike I like...blah blah, blah. Yamaha makes a bike I like...blah blah, blah. Buy the friggin' Yamaha then. If I want a 1958 Corvette, I'll buy a friggin' 1958 Corvette. I don't bitch about Toyota not making a car to compete with the 1958 Corvette. If I want a friggin' Toyota Camry, I'll buy a friggin' Toyota Camry. 90% of people on this planet drive cars I wouldn't want to own. Should I waste time on ToyotaCamrysRock.com telling people their cars are friggin' ugly and underpowered? Why do these Geo Metro driving assclowns think that only the motorcycle they put 2k on a year needs to be the most powerful thing on the planet when their daily drivers have 90hp and weigh 3000 pounds? |

Rokoneer hit it dead on. Mr Corey said that. He is hilarious & is good for laughs. You really should check out his little site & see some of the multiple personalities he has developed. Has actual conversations back & forth with his online alter egos. |

>>Got buy all the XB9's of 2003/2004 you can, because the 2005's are all jokes!!!! Gotta laugh. Better tires, 12 airbox and throttle body, 43mm up front, and he's saying buy the older model because the new one's are a joke. Um, it's the same bike, with some minor improvements and funky bodywork. You don't like the bodywork, change it, or buy a 12. They're only 500 bucks more than the intro price on a 9R a couple of years ago. moron. |

Had a Yamaha once. Two actually; an SR500 and a Yamacopy of a Martin guitar. They were nice. Both got replaced with American stuff: Blast and Martin D35. They were better. R1, I sold the SR500 because parts were expensive and the thing was not reliable for me. TOO MANY changes in Japanese bikes each year and a real lack of interchangability of parts. I laugh at how long it took the desk clerk to find the correct microfiche sheet for my year and model. The time it took to get the parts was a real joke. Buell will make changes, but in a more reasonable time frame than most Japanese bike makers. |

I loved my SR500. In fact, memories of it are kind of what pushed me toward a big twin (not to be confused with Big Twin). And Chainsaw, "Geo Metro driving assclowns"? |

Court, I must once again insist that you immediately cease posting wild claims that you can not back up with facts. I CAN fly and it is really irritating when people like you undermine all my hard work. Jeff |

R1Dyna, Go to a Yamaha page. You own a Yamaha now, and have decided to make Buell enthusiasts suffer with your rants. Go away. The new Buells are cool, the old Buells are cool, and quite simply, you've become a boring, ignorant jerk, or more likely, we finally all realize it. |

You do realize thats not my rant? Maybe you should actually read the entire post before you comment? I said a long time ago I was going to stay on Coreys @ss & keep as many Buellers as possible from giving him any money. Thanks for playing tho, next contestant. |

You really should check out his little site... Dyna: I would NOT recommend visiting his site. If his site has X number of hits and X number of unique users he can use those numbers to sell more advertising space, which may indeed be the reason he posts what he does...to drive web site traffic up. |

If the device actually did what it was supposedly claimed to do & was backed up woth dyno charts of before & after, then there is no arguments. He still claims 10-17 hp with that TI pipe yet not 1 dyno chart proving this has ever been shown. Its 1 thing to claim something, quite another to back it up with proof. |

Dyna - The 12 airbox cover on the 9 does not get rid of the Torque dip, especially in 420's case (D&D Exhaust). I was ready to send you all kind of hate mail and make all kinds of crappy statements to you Dyna - then I realized that you did not post that but were quoting somebody. |
