Buell never made one, but we did : )

Our race bike was based on a 2006 Ulysses frame/engine fitted with a Firebolt race seat subframe and Yamaha R1 front end. We found that handling was just as sharp but not quite so twitchy as the original XB9R racer we built, and also suited a 6'+ rider better : )

Yup, thats a Uly swingarm. I put one on my Firebolt short frame. I'm 6'2, and it fits great. I REALLY like that R1 front end though.

For those who know, did the XBRR use the same measurements as the Ulysses/Long frame and was built from a different material? Or was the XBRR frame completely unique in every way, from the production frames.

We used the stock Ulysses swingarm but had a custom built AST rear shock that was just slightly longer than a XB12SS rear shock (with extra height adjustment if required).

I REALLY like that R1 front end though.

It performed brilliantly (with Traxxion Dynamics cartidges fitted) but was a bit problematic to fit. We had to have triple trees made with the offset & rake etc of the Buell but width of the Yamaha in order to get the Yamaha pattern front wheel in with twin discs.

I've never compared directly but I thinjk the 1125 has a steeper steering head angle than the Ulysses/SS models - more like an XBR really.
