I'm stumped... Found an exhaust leak. I have a custom magnaflow muffler with the GBElias elbow. It's leaking out of the top of the Torca EasySeal clamp I have to connect the elbow and header downpipe. The know it's coming from the slits in either. The EasySeal clamp is the correct one.. it's 2 different diameters to accomodate the pipe sizing. Read somewhere to fill the slits with Permatex, let it dry then re-clamp to stop the leak. Anyone have any other ideas? Muffler is welded to the elbow, but not welded to the header. Don't want to weld it in case need to remove!! |

I've used the Permatex copper for my exhaust issues. Works well. |

Either copper or red high temp will work, I've seen it on a stock xb. Not sure if it came like that from the factory, but the bike only had 5500 miles on it when I took the stock muffler off and it hadn't been touched by anyone other than a dealer for the initial service. |

Thanks guys. I got the Permatex Ultracopper rated at 700 degrees. Gonna seal the slits and where to pipes meet, let it cure, slap that Torca back on there. Thanks!! |
