Shopping for Buell parts I am always surpised to see that sellers often ask more or the same for used parts than what news= ones cost directly from HD. XB gauges clusters on ebays sell for 225-300$ depending on condition but I bought a brand new one for $273 from HD and they put the exact mileage I told them to put on it. Headlights 132$ brand new and some guy wants 240$ on fleabay.. some members sell them for 125$ on here. Front fender are lik around 85 $ new and I see them scratched up on ebay for 60-90 $ What the heck am I missing here? |

This Beull part is from a VINTAGE BIKE NO LONGER PRODUCED @@@@RARE@@@@ 1. Buyers are stupid, and don't check HD first. 2. Sellers are smart, and sell for what buyers will pay. |

That ain't true, prices were wacky before the closing. Even outside of Ebay, buellsterparts keeps selling some items off wrecked bikes for twice brand new retail

I dont know if I should be mad that I cant find good deals on used Buell parts or if I should be happy that new parts are so affordable... |

The one thing that blows my mind are Traction grips. Now those aren't available new anymore... I assume. But still, they're selling for what 4-5x what they originally cost. I found my old pair that has slightly torn up left grip... I wonder if I can get $80 for them? |

Always check with HD first , you would be surprised at what you can still get new . |

Thanks for this info! How does americansportbike.com compare to HD prices? Americansportbike.com is selling an OEM front rotor for $323.00, and a finned front rotor for $275.00. To compare against HD, do I need to call my local HD Dealer, or can I find HD's prices online for Buell parts? How about buellparts dot net? |

What the heck am I missing here? I find that is true for virtually everything on ebay. Deals are rare. I haven't really found anything on ebay in years that I haven't been able to buy locally or from another website for the same or cheaper while getting much better return policies and without the ridiculous shipping rates. That wasn't always the case, and I suppose a lot of people assume that the going rate on ebay must be cheaper than they could get it from a retailer. |

I find it depends on the category. Cheap electronics like chargers and batteries, if I am in no rush for them I can get them direct from China for next to nothing. I once bought a 10 pack of phone chargers for $10 shipped, local phone stores, the booths in the mall, etc, all would of banged me for at least $20 per charger. Monoprice.com has good prices on them, but still wants $1.62 each for a similar charger. Also, years ago I got some good tickets to a concert cheap, but that was dumb luck as I had misspelled the artist's name and so did the seller. Again it all goes back to knowing what you are getting and what it is worth, there are deals on ebay, but there are often better deals elsewhere. |

Not to weasel in with a sales pitch, but I just posted some used XB parts in the classified. I checked with HD and priced mine substantially less. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 679886.html?1337021926 |
