I know I can get HD to replace my headlights as part of the recall ('04 XB12R) but I don't want them messing with it for a couple reasons (one of which is the GP shift pattern) so I'm looking for a headlight assembly... Anyone have one? |

I'll probably get grief for this, but think about a Hella conversion. |

http://www.amazon.com/Hella-90mm-Headlight-Connect ors-Adjusters/dp/B000CSOH22 http://www.amazon.com/HELLA-008191057-Halogen-Head lamp-Module/dp/B000VU3DW6/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_1 It's been done on here before, you have to get a bracket made but from what I've read they're worlds better than OEM. Especailly good to slap some HIDs in there |

They have 50mm, 60mm, and 90mm and many of them are DOT if that matters. Going with a single low and single high beam I would be tempted to give the little 50mm or 60mm a try. Several people have done 90mm in a couple of different ways. Other than reducing power consumption I see little value in the HID conversions since I don't think they will throw as far as the made for HID versions of the headlight assemblies. And the made for HID versions are a truck load of money. |
