Someone put a large vinyl sticker on my bike (on the airbox cover) while parked on on the street, downtown. In the process of getting it off, it stripped the color out of a part of the airbox cover. A friend works at a Harley dealer and he's been having a hard time finding a replacement. Can someone help me find the part number? I'd also be happy to buy a used one (in great shape) if anyone knows of one. 2009 XB9SX, "Cherry Bomb" red. It has the "X" on top of it for the tank bag. Thank you! |

Is it beyond what you can polish out? The Novus 1 and 2 work pretty well on the translucent parts. Or did whatever you use discolor it? |

The color is gone from the area. Polish will not help. |

I stand corrected! It wet sanded out with 600 grit. Then it polished back to a shine with fine grit compound. |
