Hi every one, I'm just wondering what is the cranking compression spec for an xb12ss 2006. I've got 160psi on both cylinders, want to know if it's all right! Thanks Gab |

Even with cylinders that were definitely over spec. and valves that were fried and leaking I was able to get 160psi on both cylinders so I don't think it makes too much difference. |

As long as it doesn't leak down you're good I reckon. |

Maybe it makes a difference because I have aftermarket JE pistons and don't know the comp ratio so I want to know if the cranking compression is near good... Maybe the compression ratio is too low. Does someone have the specification? Probably in the shop manual! thank you for the help |

I'm pretty sure spec. is around 160. |

Spec in my 04 manual says "120 psi or more is within spec". |

OK, thanks, I was asking because I got forged pistons with custom specs that the previous owner put in the bike because it was turboed but now, I'm putting it stock because of the bad reliability but don't want to put back some stock pistons! (too much work involved) |
