Hey guys i have an 07 buell xb12s and just did a license plate relocator mod but now when i use the front brake the brake light wont turn on but the back break works the only thing different about the new piece is there is no license plate light and the running light still works please help!!! | ||

My guess would be your front brake switch if the light works correctly otherwise. Spray some plastic safe contact cleaner in the switches drain hole then give it a couple minutes to dry. When the switch is dry see if it worked or not. Doing this helped to extend the life of the switch on my '06 Ss but eventually I just replaced it. | ||

An easy way of checking if the front switch needs cleaned/replaced is to pull off the connector and jumper it out. If the light comes on the switch needs serviced. If it doesn't you have an issue somewhere else. | ||

So when i took off the brake lever i pushed the switch to see if it worked and i found that the brake light is always on and when i push the switch it turns it off dont know if that makes sense but now im more confused than when i started | ||

Your switch is working right. The tab on the lever normally holds the switch in. I may have had it backwards with my on/off description before. I'm not sure what the problem might be now. | ||

FIXXED feel dumb but i guess when i put on my license plate relocator i switched a few wires on tail ilght upside down or something works just like new again thanks pos90 for helpin |
