Trying to figure out how to use this software and exactly which files I need to have to make it work with my 03 9R. |

I do have ECMspy, but I can't get megalog viewer to work on the laptop I have for logging so I was interested in TunerPro RT but it just isn't obvious to me what I need to do to get logging and modifying the fuel maps, let alone just reading things from the ECM. I think I found all the files hidden away on Mike's website (through a google link) since the files no longer seem to be on the ECMspy site like tunerpro says they should be (couldn't find them). So I think at this point the only thing I lack is knowledge in how to use this software. |

shoot me an email Greg... I'll walk you through it... I'll get you all the files you need for it... yep things are hidden... some links are dead though... Cause I took them off. |

Thanks Mike, I've been meaning to look up your most recent email change and send a note. Still trying to get enough decent weather for a proper break in before I start messing with the programming. I do know idle needs a bunch of work, especially when cold as there is a huge off idle hesitation, gets better once it is warm enough. |

I doubt you will be able to do much about cold engine conditions. Unless Tuner Pro has the ability to modify the fuel and timing temp correction tables. You don't really want to change operating temperature things if runs fine at operating temp, or does it run bad there too? Hey Xopti, I got my Arduino running and datalogging. I hadn't heard back from you in a while. (Message edited by Blaylock1988 on April 13, 2012) |

I just downloaded TunerPro RT last night and set it up using the Help file built into the program; it's easy to understand and pretty concise, so have a look. That said, I'm a novice at this and am not sure if anything I did is actually right, so hopefully someone that's been through this can verify its correct. To the best of my understanding, there are 3 things you need to add to the TunerPro RT package to configure it to your make/model: 1. The 'Buell Reader/Writer' is an emulation plug-in for reading and writing data to/from Buell ECU. This is found under the tab 'Downloads'->'Plug-ins' on the TunerPro website. See the TunerPro help file for info on where to save and how to point TunerPro to the plug-in. 2. The Bin Definition file (.xdf) translates the numbered output values from the ECM into real-world nomenclature (i.e. Datastream 72 may be 'Fan Activation Temp'). This file can be found on the ECMSpy website. first, check the "Supported ECM Types' tab on the left to determine the nomenclature for your ECM, based on model and year. Then, under the My Downloads tab (free registration required for access), download the corresponding XDF file. See the TunerPro help file for info on where to save and how to point TunerPro to the XDF file. 3. The Datastream Definition file (.adx) converts arbitrarily assigned bin values to meaningful measurements for tuning (i.e. translates a engine temp value of 17 into a more meaningful measurement of 185 degrees Fahrenheit). This file is found on the ECMSpy website, on the same page as the XDF file, and identified by the same ECM nomenclature.See the TunerPro help file for info on where to save and how to point TunerPro to the ADX file. This is as far as I've gotten in the process. Hope this helps. |

Great News Blaylock... congrats on that accomplishment. In tunerpro you have many tables and ect to get adjustments including temp corrections. |
