I haven't been there since college in 91, but if I remember right, the La Poudre Canyon is fun. Follows the creek all the way up into the mountains. It's LaPoudre or Cache La Poudre I think. I had an SR500 at the time and was just beginning to ride a street bike so I wasn't looking for lean angle at the time, but you can't go wrong most anywhere west of the city. The roads around Horsetooth might be okay but maybe more crowded. |

Be careful up there. 2 weeks ago, a lady visiting from NM was riding alongside the Poudre river and hit some sand on her HD. Not only did she suffer the fall but landed in the rapids. They called off the search. Go West my friend. Aim for the Mountain range and GO! What dates are you going to be here? Stay away from GREELEY! It stinks to high heaven. Meat packing plant, Beet composting, Glue rendering plant from carcasses. Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy! |
