I took the top triple clamp from the R. I love it. |

Awesome... that almost looks like i could adjust the front pre-load without removing the handlebars! |

Torqer, That is awesome! Ok, so what did you have to do to make the R top clamp fit? And, have you raised the fork tubes? Thanks, Keith |

Pete, Tell Keith that the real question is... "How much $$ do I need to send you to get that S-to-R handlebar kit." |

Keith: The tubes are in the same location as they were from the factory. The trick was to get the brackets that hold the numberplate and instrumentation to accept the clamp. Look closely at the third photo I posted. You can see a touch of modification. The only parts I had buy were the clamp, the bars, grips, and an R brake line. The rest was done with "shade-tree finesse". |

Thanks, Glitch... For clarification, you can see (in the pics Torquer posted) the two etched rings marking the fork height... I have to us the top one (slowest handling one) because the motoX bars I have fitted are too wide after they come out of the riser clamp. Looks like yours comes out of the clamp and bends up straight away, giving room to use the (lower) faster turning fork height setting... Exactly what i am looking for... The pic you provided is good, however one from the front of the fork would have been PERFECT. Nice work, Thanks. |

Has anyone tried to use a set of Ace bars(Clubman)on their bike?. I have a set that I know would fit on mine, just don't know if I want to do it or not. It basically would give you the same position as the Firebolt, but you wouldn't have to change the triple clamp. |

Hey Glitch! I just ordered the same bars you have (in chrome though to match the other chrome I've added). I looked at the ProTaper bars and some others, but yours looked as good as any and better than most. I think I'll like the change in riding position. Thanks for the suggestion, pictures, and link. By the way......Nice Bike. Never Give Up! |
