The local HD store is a little slow at replacing my broken XB12 belt, so have started acquiring chain drive parts. Vortex in florida is shipping a 50 tooth aluminum rear sprocket. Dennis Kirk has sent a 21 tooth front sprocket (application 1992 sportster), and a Tsubaki Sigma oring chain 530x106. The parts should show up middle of next week. plan is to slot the rear mounting hole of the idler pulley bracket, to allow adjustment range, and attempt to use a skateboard wheel for an idler. |

a skateboard wheel is probably a little wider than the idler pulley....might want to look into using a urethene chain tensioner wheel from Custom Chrome. |

Fullpower do you know how close to stock gear ratio those pulleys are gonna be. I am working on getting the idler pulley chain sprocket from one of the kits but nobody seems willing to part with just that sprocket. Think I might start looking into the one off the BMW that trojan was talking about at least I think he said BMW I need to go reread that topic. Can you hook me up on the price you paid for the pulleys. |
