Xena disc alarm...130db. For the XB9S I don't think any other type of alarm would actually fit.

Hey HatTrick... Does that alarm go off when you try to unlock it? How sensitive is it to like wind or someone slamming a car door?

I have 2 Xena disc alarms (one for the front & one for the back). They work great. They have a motion sensor built in them. You touch it (or move the bike one centimeter) and this very high pitched pulsating alarm goes off. The wind or a slamming car door won't set it off. |

In NYC motorcycle alarms are practically useless. These people can disable an alarm, diskbrake lock, and heavy chain in less time than it takes to read my post. They also just drive around in vans or boxtrucks and pluck the bikes off the street. I personally take min. two or three reports a week for stolen bikes. Thats just me! And to add insult to injury we are not allowed to pursue a motorcycle. Once a stolen bike is moving, we jsut have to let them ride away. |

Wow. That totally destroys my confidence in the police. At least if you could attempt to give chase, ya know sooner or later the dirt bag would bite it even after ya backed off. Then he gets jail, and insurance picks up the bill. I suppose pedestrians would be a major concern in that scenario though. |
