We are developing a new style Manifold Flange to prevent the Buell XB models from leaking there what can cause serious problems for all of us. Look here for the progress http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp?cid=7& aid=189 |

My bike has all the issues that you talk about. How much are these things going to go for? |

Buell owners and prospective buyers have been a bit shy due to the fact that the Mo-Co is not supporting the Mark. This thread gives reason to believe in the dream and know that it will not only remain but it will actually improve. The aftermarket will not only supply the needs but the upgrades. Better products for better Buells. To anyone who thinks Buell motorcycles are a thing of the past, don't give up on Buells yet! I ride mine daily. |

Is this something that was redesigned, or improved on the 08-10 models? Brad. |

It looks like the new flange design only seals the flange to the intake manifold, but doesn't seal between the flange and the head. Is there more than one o-ring in each flange? |

Great and simple idea, if it works it's going to be a hit! |

Is there an efficient way to check and see if your intake does have a leak, besides knowing the symptoms? |

You can spray various things on the joint while the bike is running to see if the engine speeds up or slows down. What happens depends on the stuff you are spraying. Some people spray starting fluid (ether) which would make it speed up, if you can still burn WD40 from a spray can you might try it as a little safer (propane or butane propellant???) which again should make it speed up. Carb cleaner normally makes the engine slow down and should be somewhat safe to use. if the leak is small enough this probably won't help find it because the net change will be small.
