Came home from the dealer show this morning to find that someone has stolen my XB right out of my driveway! Flew the red eye out of San Diego 9:45pm landed in NY at 6am got home at 8 to find an empty space where my Buell once rested. Called the cops and they came out and filed a report. It was here Friday during the day so between then and 8 am this morning it gone. Did the DMV/Insurance run this afternoon, god that is depressing. Just hope the insurance goes fast so I can get back up and rollin'. I think the thing that pisses me off the most is that I have had "a" bike in the same spot for over 3 years with no problems and that it was taken out of my driveway doesn't help either |

Life's cruelist lesson. "Never Leave Anything Unattended Outside for Long Periods of Time" It does suck to loose something so dear. But at the same time, thats why we pay our premiums. Good luck and I hope you get your bike back, or a new one soon. |

Im considering the 05 XB9R it looks great in yellow. Just got my XB9S setup the way I liked it too. Motocross bars, Diablos and the seat was nice and comfy. Damn hate to start all over but oh well. |

Sorry for your loss! The worst thing is the insurance company will wait 30 days before they call your bike "unrecoverable". Myself being a paranoid SOB, I would recommend the addition of a Kryptonite Stronghold Ground Anchor to your driveway. Couple that with a New York Chain and a New York Lock, and you might sleep a little better at night. The lock comes with a "warranty" that will pay your insurance deductible up to $750 if thieves leave evidence of a destroyed lock. Check www.kryptonite.com for details. |

In the old days, if you stole a horse you got hung. You shouldn't mess with a man's cycle. |

What sucks is that the insurance company wont even give him a decent replacement cost. I hope the person that stole your bike grabs alot of front brake in a very fast turn. |

That oughta be a pretty recognizable bike. How many 9s's on the planet running around with motocross bars? (At least until the citycross hits the streets). Everybody keep your eyes open. Can you get Buell to tell you who in the area has ordered a replacement set of bars for a 9s? Can't be that many of those either. |

"That oughta be a pretty recognizable bike. How many 9s's on the planet running around with motocross bars?" Fat chance Bill. It'll show up in pieces on eBay in the next day or so. |

When my Bandit was stolen, I prayed that it would be found. Once found I wished it had been forever lost. Even after I had it "fixed" it never seemed the same. Which turned out to be a good thing, now I'm a Bueller. |

Johny, Having had some experiences with stolen vehicles in N.Y., I can assure you that your bike is not far from home. Keep an open eye and ears in some of the more likeliest spots. Good Hunting. SteveH |

You know...I would be willing to fill that empty space under the seat with just enough C4 to blow their off the bike. Actually this got me to thinking. Can anyone recommend a good alarm system that would work with this bike? Tatsu

Good one Kevin! Actually, I detail it all the time. In fact, I spend more time on it than I do my Harley. Then again, I don't ride the Harley fast enough to get all those bug smears or hit all those puddles, dirt patches, road kill, etc. LOL |

Find out when the garbage collectors hit your area and ask them to keep an eye open for you. |
