Not sure ...But I think 2005 to 2007 were different from the 2003 and 2004 xb9`s... Maybe others will chime in to state!

No you can't put the 05 ecm on an 03.

If all you want is race maps, you can download the maps and burn them to your 03 ecm.

so i could by a stock ecm and put the race maps on it how do i go about doing tht cus i just found out now its definitetly my ecm that needs to be replaced i unplugged every wire on the wiring harness and was still blowing a fuse until i disconnected the left side of the ecm which is where its shattered and didnt blow a fuse after a i put the whole bike back together

You will need the ECMSpy program and cable.

Also it would help for you to find the ECMSpy Tuning Guide V2.0.
