Make sure the battery contracts are clean, and check grounds. Do the lights dim, or shut off? Starter relay? |

Get a battery tender , I got a cheap one at WalMart , and run it on your bike when not riding . All my starting problems went away . |

If it clicks but does not turn over check the starter solenoid. |

Where did ya get the battery? I could have been sitting on a shelf for a while and need a good deep charge. |

Thanks for all the great suggestions...Kdog had a battery tender on it, still not enough juice to start it..rode it for an hr..same thing.. Dave- the shop tech mentioned the same thing when I called, but wanted to ck it out..Ete.right on! Seems the discount battery I bought on the cheap was CRAP! The tech tested it and it dumped as soon as a load was put on it...he put a new good battery in and now good as new! Nice thing is the owner gave me a refund for the crap battery..they usually dont do it, but happy they did.. much thanks for the help! |
