I just installed my Erik Buell Racing ECM for my XB12S and am trying to do a TPS reset. Problem is the lowest my throttle will go is 8.2. Can't get it to zero no matter what I do. Have y'all seen this issue? Let me know what I can do. Thanks. |

Reset to ECM connections and it is fine. |

Yeah. I would not use ECMSpy with that ECM per the directions I received from Erik Buell Racing. I'm not the only one that trashed an ECM doing so. The firmware is different and ECMSpy changes certain variables within the Erik Buell Racing ECM that were not mean to be changed. I noticed the issue when trying to do a TPS reset and experienced problems. |

Well I did notice when the bike warms up, the idle will phase back and forth from 1100 rpm to 900rpm until the bike is warmed up. After that it will idle fine. I also noticed when letting go of the throttle from 4000 rpm (for example) it will take its sweet time going to idle. Maybe this is a side affect? Can this be adjusted with another type of software? |

The last symptom you just described is exactly what our bike do with a slightly high idle. Here is what I would do, before going back to E.BR: Warm the bike up REAL good. Do a good TPS reset. Set idle to 950. This may solve it alltogether... |

Mbarrad: That's almost exactly the symptoms I had when I corrupted my Erik Buell Racing ECM. E.BR told me the only way to properly adjust the TPS with their new ECMs is through the tool the dealer has =( |

Thanks Noone. Does every HD dealership have this tool? Did the HD tool TPS reset fix your problem? |

I agree with Andy, your symptoms are the same of those when the TPS is not done correctly. Try it again after the bike is warmed up with the 950-1000 idle and it should be good as new. |

I think the issue was due to the TPS reset being set when the motor was cold. I reset the TPS at 120 degrees celcius. I will let the bike cool down and see how the bike reacts to a cold start. |

The warm TPS reset did it. Bike is running 100% better. Does not phase between RPMs and the throttle drops as it should. Thanks for all of your suggestions. |

from my experience i zeroed the tps with the old ecm, put the ebr and reset it, as i think ebr ecm comes at zero, at lest it worked for me. |
